It’d be good to just type in the URL for an image for the camera widget instead of having to create an OpenHAB string item that has the URL of the image.
I’d even go further by adding the possibility to add local pics ?

exactly … for the moment i will have to setup a local camera entity with ass to get those pic in room as background
If can set difference background pictures base on elements states will better.
Currently you can probably do this with a rule in your home automation system to update the image item with a new URL for the image?
