Screensaver and images with wrong resolution

I have Huawai tablet on the wall.
The tablet has 1920 * 1200 resolution.
When I make the tablet cross as seen in the picture,
I should have a width of 1920 and a height of 1200.
Now I have all my pictures saved to the height at 1200.
So I should see a black bar on the left and right.
But all the pictures are cut off at the top and bottom.
I don’t understand how Homehabit handles the images.
And why is there the limit of 50 pictures ?

However sollange the images are all displayed like this, it makes little sense.

Screensaver images are resized to fit the longer edge (width in this case) and crop. Therefore, it works best with images in landscape orientation.
I will check on possible support for portrait size images.

The tablet has a resolution of 1920 * 1200.
The long side has 1920 and the short side is 1200.
I have adjusted the images so that the height is 1200.
Therefore, the width should be at least left and right a black bar.
But now it is so that I have top and bottom shortened images and I do not understand.

The example image has 564 * 1200

If I put the tablet upright, everything is displayed.
If I put it crosswise, I have only truncated images.

If the image is 1200 at the height, it would not be larger than the display can make.
At the length with 1920 there would be even 600 pixel air and at the width with 1200 it would fit.

Where is my thinking error ?

Maybe a setting that pixels are applied 1:1 without changing them ?

Current behavior is to not show black bars around the image and resize the image to cover all screen, if possible. This is inline with how wallpapers are generally laid out.
I would need to check to see what is possible to show portrait orientation images better, whether through optional configuration or by default.
