Calendar recurring events

Is there a way to show recurring events on the calendar widget? All of my other events show but I also track which days I work using a recurring event with no set end date, the event just repeats every 3 days. These events do not show in the widget.

I am using ical exported from Google calendar to get the events. I never could get the Google canendar integration to work for me but ical mostly works except recurring events

I found that recurring events import properly when I get my calendar data through home assistant which is linked to my Google calendar. Still not sure why the ical integration is not working directly.

This appears to still be an issue. Recurring events do not show up in the calendar when using Google Calendar through iCalendar. Unable to get Google Calendar integration to work due to Google blocking it.
